Another Angle

I prefer asymmetry
hems askew
furniture at angles
corners uncornered
chairs unaligned

tailored topped with soft flow
no straight lines to anywhere
stones to bricks

shoes with clunk
hugs over handshakes
unponied hair
and nails that suggest attitude
instead of allure

impolitely loud music at red lights
bra-less to sculpted bosom
curves earned
and scars brazenly discernible
tattoos that murmur narratives

opera glasses and ornamental fans
open windows
instead of climate control

picks over combs
combs over hairbrushes
extra garlic
modern medicine
anything instead of beer

tea but not coffee
love over fear
piercings over cutting
conversation rather than darts
dancing versus standing still

touch instead of untouchable
dessert more than dinner
anything over ignorance

grey versus black or white
